Age Concern Somerset Partnerships for Older People Projects are delighted to be working in partnership with North Somerset Arts Week 2009.

Here are a few examples of the different ways in which POPP has already developed and supported cultural activity in the area. Two separate art and craft groups in Kewstoke and Clevedon have been initially set up by Age Concern Somerset Community development Workers, and are now run by members of the local community.

Kewstoke Arts  & Crafts Group: 

Kewstoke Village Hall, Crookes Lane, Kewstoke

Group formed in November 2008. Meets weekly  Monday 2.00pm to 4pm in the downstairs hall. Painting, drawing, embroidery, whatever you fancy. Guidance and materials available.

Come to the new arts and crafts group for the over 50’s. Have fun finding new ways of looking at the world around you. Bring your friends and have some creative fun. All abilities welcome.

Clevedon  Over 50’s Art Group

welcomes older people with an interest in art to join the group and make 2009 the year to learn a new skill and make new friendships. The group suits any ability and is free. Meets every Monday from 1.30pm to 4.00pm at Searle Court, Cherry Avenue, Clevedon.
